Well for starters, this miniature drink loses temperature faster than you can blink. And no one likes cold espresso – not even for ten seconds.
That’s why we have developed double-walled espresso glasses that can do more than keep your fingers cool:
- Insulating effect thanks to double glass with vacuum layer
- Laboratory-quality heat-resistant borosilicate glass
- For hot drinks from preparation to serving
- Clear view of crema to help assess machine settings
- Optimal shape supports the espresso’s structure
- Always cool to the touch
- Engraved with timeless Coffeeness logo
- Affordable sets: available in 4 pieces
Serve an espresso in a 6.8-ounce (200-milliliter) cappuccino glass? Completely absurd. Our small-capacity espresso glasses should not only make drinking easier. Size and diameter also help you to achieve better results.
After all, espresso’s crema develops as it leaves the portafilter spout rather than inside the machine. And if the glass has the right shape, it can support this process.
Even if fully automatic coffee machines work a little differently, a thoughtfully designed espresso glass ensures a perfect finish. It helps keep the liquid “together,” and the crema remains stable for longer.
A good espresso shows that you’ve mastered the 5 M’s of the preparation. Only witn the right combination of coffee beans, grinder, machine settings and maintenance and the barista’s skill, does the Italian classic arrive in cups like in the picture books. Cups or coffee glasses.
Even though the crema is often overrated, it provides the perfect way to visually assess your extraction. The color, density, thickness and consistency allow you to identify possible errors in preparation. This can hardly be achieved using espresso cups. However, our espresso glasses offer you a 360-degree view.
Here’s something else that’s just as important. Due to the small volume of 25 milliliters (single shot) or 40 milliliters (doppio), espresso stores little heat. Even preheated cups are always colder than the liquid, so they cool the coffee rapidly. This also applies to simple coffee glasses.
If espresso glasses are double walled, the vacuum layer between the two glasses hinders any temperature exchange. The consequence? Hot espresso from preparation to drinking – without burnt fingers or annoying handles.
- Your espresso glass is only partially dishwasher-safe. So that the double-walled effect is not lost and the vacuum remains stable, we always recommend hand washing.
- Glass is still glass. Even if your espresso glass is very robust and durable, it can break if handled incorrectly. So keep it away from young children and clumsy people.
- Double-walled glass can easily trick our senses. Note that the liquid in the glass is (very) hot, even if it might not seem that way. We have inadvertently burned our tongues many times. That doesn’t have to happen to you.
